Agree Shims, he just keeps getting gorgeous-er and gorgeous-er. Speaking of that, Di put some pics of him on FB today, through Real Artists, Real Music. Gosh I got all goosy just looking at some of them, he's like a good wine, improving with age! Love your summary and it is difficult to not give a spoiler to those who haven't seen it, but you did very well Shims. I can't wait to see him at Palms at Crown tomorrow night, then at Traralgon on Saturday night, WOO HOO!!! JUST REMEMBER.....YOU NEED TO HAVE RAIN TO GET THE RAINBOW

Awww Shoms ....you have done it again! You have captured the whole show and experience so beautifully. I always love reading your reports. You write so beautifully. You should be writing some of the reviews for the show ....every where . So glad you enjoyed it. I think you and Glawzy are right. He is like the ball of wool .....winding up and getting bigger and better. I think you may have said that often as well Dawn. Wasn't that an interesting comment from Kevin too....he felt the same. You kind of get that sense with the whole group .....Wow! Do you ever get the feeling this may be a huge turning stone for Damian? The other thing I just love is that it brings the whole family together, kids, Parents, Aunts, Grand Parents.....now that is real talent how many musicians can do this. Also a one man play (not writing off the band here either) that encaptures and involves the whole audience. In SAYI g this the band , they are brilliant. I quiet often watch and listen to (other than the male model) Jess, Kevinand Eric. Jess is just stunning herself , there is a lot of talent in that little frame to come out too. I have to agree, fabulous idea, program for the show, DVD and love the merch too! He is such a gorgeous fella ....inside and out...the biggest Irish Heart. Singing happy birthday to. Special someone....he never misses a thing. Thank you so much for your beautiful report Shims. Keep them coming all. Oh and Shimms .........

Palms at Crown... 10.7.15 Mr Awesomeness was Awesome, his voice is MAGIC, his play-writing BRILLIANT, and the comedy VERY FUNNY. Damien transformed again last night into his other persona "Michael' and had everybody entranced. Not a sound during the performance but lots of applause, cheering and whistling after each song. Spoke to a few people and they all really enjoyed it. We enticed a friend and her DH to come, Damien virgins, and they loved it, as did SIL's dad who is Scottish, and said he can remember all those songs when he was younger, he thought Damien did an awesome job of the Roy Orbison hit, as did our friends. So a few new fans. Not much else to say as Vicky has just arrived for our trip away, so will call back in later after tonight's show which I'm sure will be just as big a hit. The only downer for me was that Palms wasn't sold out, don't know what's wrong with Melbourne people!!

Latrobe Performing Arts Centre:
Almost a sell out here, decent sized venue too. There were a couple of rows empty right up at the back, but they had brought in about 5 or 6 rows of chairs to go on the floor part in front of the graduated seating so I think that made up for the empty ones. Thought it could have been that most of the people in the front part were quite elderly and maybe had requested no stair climbing. We were in Row D of the graduated seating and were level with the top of the stage, great spot actually and the acoustics were better up there... I don't think I've ever heard Damien sing as well, he was awesome although he always is. Will be seeking seats a little further back in the future, worth it for the sound and provided the seating is stepped you get a great view!
Having seen this play now four times, I told Damien afterwards that it was the first time I'd felt 'teary' and emotional, which was true, and a testament to his excellent acting skills which was also true. I found it very moving this time even though I knew what was to come, weird feeling. The lady in front of us had a tissue out as well, maybe she started me off!
I feel very fortunate to have had two nights in a row to see this fantastic show, almost identical but sometimes he'll throw in a little something to surprise you - I don't need any surprises, love it, love it, love it.
I asked a few people what they thought of the show and they all said they loved it. Standing ovation again, so thrilled for Damien that he's getting such a wonderful response to his talents, which are many as we know.
I hope the word gets around about this show, it needs to be seen by everyone, but some people can't be persuaded to come along, no matter how hard one tries as have found with friends... they just think I'm a nutter who has a stalker fetish with Damien Leith and can't understand about the talent this man has. Their loss I say.
I emailed the Melbourne Herald-Sun during the past week, to the entertainment editors and urged them to get to see the show and do a critique of it in the paper, nothing in the paper so far so assume they didn't do it,
Great meet and greet afterwards with all of the band members there as well, so it was lovely to catch up with Eric, Chris and Kevin (who complimented me on the slices I gave them the night before)!!
Roll on next show, I was so sorry that it had all ended, but still have a few to look forward to!

One thing I forgot to mention about Palms, a personal thing really - was that we got to talk to Rick Price who was in the audience. Nev had seen his show at the Atheneum theatre in Melbourne a few weeks ago, so we went up and had a chat to him. He said he had called Damien to see if there were any seats available as he had a night off and decided to come. At interval he said he was really enjoying it. He also said he had a new originals album coming out with one cover, "Hallelujah"... so it would have been interesting to know what he thought of D's version.

How amazing is Damien, he's done about 25 shows in the last couple of months that have been sold out or close on sold out. Standing ovations at all shows
people moved to tears by the story, and people blown away by his stunning beautiful voice. He's a true star in every way.
I hope the rest of his shows do just as well.

Thank you for the terrific reports . It certainly is a show that you could turn around and walk right in again and see it over and over.
What a shame about it not being a Full House at Palms. Still, Damien and co would have done a brilliant show whether there were 50 or 500 there. The ones not there are the ones who missed the opportunity of seeing a fantastic show.
Good to hear that they turned up in force at Taralgon and that is was a near sellout.
Bit of trivia for you Glawz re Rick Price. He does a lot of work with Donna Dyson who Damien does a lot of co-writing with.

I just have tell you all that I was thrilled today to receive Damien's permission to place a review on the FB sites of upcoming shows. I would not have done it without his approval but he said the review was terrific and said I could use it as much as I liked. I wrote it in the first place for Ticketmaster, who emailed me and suggested I write a review (have done others in the past) but didn't want to do anything without D's go ahead. The only one I haven't done yet is the Coffs Harbour one as it's so far off. Just a generalisation, no spoilers (maybe one.) If you would like to read it just go to the FB site of any of the upcoming shows.
