Wow, thanks Braffy. I am just wondering when you say the album is due out around October, does this mean September/October or October/November?

This is the album I wanted D to release after Idol (or I mean, something like it) BUT, I recognise that things unfold as they need to (and don't mean to diminish the value of WWL, CTW and all D's other beautiful pre-Idol orignals...Come to Me... ) These songs are inspirational on all kinds of levels...I just feel so moved that D got to do "his album" (with such brilliant production from Stuart)...it really shows what a sensational musical talent he is...songwriter, singer ...bass player (didn't he say? ) Memories are a bit vague and was in Teh Coma as soon as the music came on...lol! I can't believe I won't hear it again til OCTOBER!!! (well, apart from the single in...when was it...September sometime? )

REMEMBER JUNE is just AMAZING!!!!!!! I am here - stunned. Nearly a day later and still just totally stunned by it all. Damien is going to stun everyone who hears this album - it's totally different in the best way from anything I've heard or anything that is out there at the moment - it's epic and full of amazing audio landscapes, large sweeping statements and subtle quiet spells as he really does take you on an emotional journey that threads through the story of the whole album. Damien has come to the fore here as an artist to be reckoned with, he's revealing what a true powerhouse he is and is making a very strong statement here - it's creative, inspired, unique - his voice is at it's best (better than his best!), the stories in the songs completely reach through and take you along the emotional flow of the album. We were alternating between joy, tears, wanting to dance, rocking out & holding our breath in awe! Damien's own personality really comes out as well through the work as a whole, in arrangements and lyrics and vocals - it's a masterful work, full of surprises, full of heart, rare in it's intelligence and rich in texture. It's exciting and visionary and Damien deserves to be very very proud of what he has achieved here!! Congratulations to Damien and Stuart Crichton who has produced it with him and who has shown so much respect for Damien's incredible talent, they have really gone all out here to make an album that will stand on it's own merits as something very special. Just brilliant, Damien, words cannot do it justice - am so so so happy for you and happy for everyone who is about to enjoy your new album!!!!

This album is BRILLIANT!!!! It's definitely a bigger sound, yet the sounds are condensed into a single whole that seems perfectly balanced. There are more layers, but none are overwhelming. I was worried when I heard it was a 'big' sound that Damien would be drowned out, but he never was. Even though there were more sounds, we somehow heard MORE of him as well! Which is what you want! And that blending is definitely Stuart's work But the big, big, BIG kudos goes to the man himself It's definitely all he said it would be, and more! He said it would be completely different, yet still 'him', and it certainly is! The thing that blows me away most is the song writing! I was constantly being surprised. Sometimes songs can be sort of predictable, you get a feel for the shape of it and you feel you've 'got' it pretty quickly; but this kept surprising me constantly. The songs didn't have predictable paths; suddenly the pace would change, or the would be a key change, or a high note would come along and knock me over Even though there is a bigger sound, it still sounds very honest - there's almost an 'organic' quality to it, is probably the best way I could describe it. The songs are about life, and they reflect life in the way they are constructed and the way you experience them. And that's what a great songwriter does; the song draws you in, it takes you somewhere that you didn't expect, around twists and turns instead of one straight line. I remember a documentary where Tim Finn said his brother Neil does that - and that's what I thought of as I was listening. Damien crafts the song as a whole, complex thing; it progresses, it grows into something that is multi-faceted, it isn't just a few catchy lines and a back-beat. You have to listen to the whole of each song to understand it fully and get its full effect. Similarly, the entire album is like that too - the thing taken as a whole is an absolutely exquisite thing As I was listening I was tapping my foot, drumming my fingers, nodding my head, smiling a lot ;D I was often holding my breath some bits almost made me cry there were a lot of times where I listened to the lyrics and thought 'yes, I can relate to that'. There were happy songs, sad songs, wistful songs, hopeful songs - the pace changed quite a bit through the whole album, to keep things interesting, but somehow the whole thing rolled along with a fantastic momentum that keeps you hanging on - it was over way too soon! Suffice to say that we're all very excited, and we SHOULD be excited - this is something VERY SPECIAL!!!

Having also had the privilege to hear Remember June .I don't know how many ways I (we) can say This album is GOBSMACKINGLY, UNBELIEVABLY BRILLIANT!!! Damien and Stu (the producer) are a match made in heaven!! Their collaboration has produced by far and away the best work of Damien's career to date. It ROCKS and it moves me, both with equal force. I've enjoyed D's other albums, espcially Where We Land very much. This album, though, will be one of my lifetime favourites. Without a word of exaggeration. I'm STUNNED! :oand very, very proud of D.

I have to agree with everyone, the true emotion of Damien's new album really came through, I was gobsmacked and in awe from the very beginning to the end, this album will appeal to a wider audience, I can't wait for it to be released so I can hear it over and over again. Damien I am very proud of you and this album and so very grateful for being included in something so special

TEH POWER!!!!That’s my first thought upon listening to the preview of Damien's Original Album REMEMBER JUNE with a small group of people last night! I’m bursting with excitement!! I really am! I haven’t stopped thinking about how much listening to this album made me feel!! ;D WOW that the album is everything that I had hoped it would be. WOW that I never thought I could feel soo many different emotions from one listen. WOW that this album has everything! Damien you have managed to create a masterpiece!! I mean really, this is HUGE!! I am so excited for you, and so very very proud that I can’t wait for this to hit the shelves in a few months! I just know it’s going to go through the roof!! ;D I was clapping, swaying, bopping (seat dancing), toes tapping, fingers tapping, holding hands, crying, smiling, eyes closed and just feeling and listening…..all this from just one listen! I felt like I was on a roller coaster….and I now, just want to yell it to the world and tell them all how FANTASTIC this album is! I really think the partnership with Producer Stuart Crichton (our VIP Damienite ) was the best thing that could ever have happened. What an awesome talent. (not to mention a bloody great guy! ) I always dreamed and hoped that one day Damien would make an album just like this..... And REMEMBER JUNE is THAT album! Thank you Stu you are amazing!! And thank you Damien… YOU ROCK!

haha, well I'll have you know Winter that I drank Lemonade!! Was nice too..... I was going to mention that I thought I actually heard Cold Play, a little U2 and yes Raidohead! ;D I mean this album has EVERYTHING...and no, no-one has paid me to say this! There is a song that had the sound of rolling drums...and it sounds EPIC! I use that word, as I imagined this song being suited for a movie! I had other visions too that comprised of rolling hills and long grass and the feeling of moving forward....(sounds bizarre I know) so I won't bore you with those thoughts!! (and I swear I was on Lemonade) It really was an amazing song! infact they all evoke emotions of some sort!

Roxy yes, I totally agree with you about the rolling hills and feeling of momentum, some of us thought those drums kicking in really evoked those epic soundscapes of some early U2 and late 70s UK bands, there's a big rock sound in many parts but in a new way - it has sparkles through it of other sounds but really, it's just so unique and new. Big vocals in many parts, I can see that's where the Orbison comments have come from, but it's totally Damien, and - wow, Damien at his absolute best!!! We all absolutely lit up listening to this album - & we all TOTALLY LOVED it!!!
