lol hyp...don't worry, you're not insane...I actually said that to shims too ! (or does that just mean I'm insane too...or was it the fault of teh coma! ) Agree re: drums...totally fab sound all round...and Teh Voice swooooooooooooooon.... lol Morgs, we both definitely heard that, I think it was a sort of VKtRS chord progression leading into one of the songs in the 2nd half and we both caught each other's eyes when we heard it, I'm not sure now which one it was but remember it being somewhere near the last songs. Smiley yes very much agree with you about so many layers to this album - this truly is an ALBUM that you take in and can't wait to listen to again and again with the lyrics alongside and to hear all the intricacies, it's so beautifully crafted. It's definitely one of those albums that will reveal itself more as we return to it. There were surprises coming constantly that were keeping us on our toes as we listened! Apart from loving what I heard on first impressions, it's left me so fascinated & wanting to understand it and appreciate it better!! There was just so much going on in this album, it's still going round my head and this is the amazing thing about hearing it once then taking that with you, as what we are remembering is still purely first impressions! That would never happen otherwise, it's really fascinating for me the way different songs are jumping into my mind. The chorus of one other epic sounding one has been in my mind all day!! We heard it in the blogs but I'm not sure which one it was, maybe it's Forgive/Forget?? But whichever one it was, it's a big song. There's definitely that big sweeping through the landscapes feel to some of them. Though there are definitely references going on through the album, when Damien stopped the music about halfway for a little interval my first impression about the album even at that point was still how different it sounds from anything I've heard before, and anything that's out there - it's unique and fantastic!!! We're all so excited about it because we can't quite put our finger on it, there's just so much going on that to explore and enjoy in this album! The album really did pull us all in, I can only describe it as similar to when you go to a great movie and KNOW you are watching actors and directors and writing all in synch and it's clicking and bringing the audience into the story and holding you. It just connects and you're not conscious of the art of it other than to know you are watching something that's wonderful - that was how I was feeling about the lisetning session - we all CONNECTED with the album. We were drawn into Damien's vision & the story of it from the start as it opened up into these varying large then intimate landscapes, whether the expression was via the lyrics or vocals or music itself - all the elements were in synch and making that connection to us. or, in other words!!!!!!! - JUST BRILLIANT, DAMIEN!!!!

The chorus of one other epic sounding one has been in my mind all day!! We heard it in the blogs but I'm not sure which one it was, maybe it's Forgive/Forget?? But whichever one it was, it's a big song. There's definitely that big sweeping through the landscapes feel to some of them. Is it this song Shims, in the 3rd video blog at 4:37? I remember hearing that one on the night and remembering it from the video. I think it's Forgive Forget, but I'm not sure. Forgive Forget is the one he wrote with Stuart, right? Wow Spud, great memory there, you were fantastic on the night as well when I was with you listening and we'd hear a couple of notes and be thinking "I think we heard some of this in the blogs?" and you'd often be able to pin it down to which blog it was! You might well be right about Forgive Forget being the one at 4:37 but the one that was jumping in my mind all day was the one at 1:30 in that same blog, I just had a look, so I'm not really sure, but thank you so much for finding it! lol speaking about you running off to check the names I've got a gorgeous memory of when there was a song playing I absolutely loved and mentioned to you I wonder what it was - next thing you were off and over asking Damien (OMG lol I will have to remember to be careful wishing aloud like that ) then you came back and told me he said the name of the song was "Don't Give it Up" and that you had told him I liked it. Awww Spud That song was so beautiful and I can't wait to hear it again!

Awww Spuddy my dear friend, we were laughing cos it was absolutely adorable and we had JUST been doing the same. I was thoroughly enjoying watching people's reactions. There was hugging, and bopping, and squeeing and singing and just the absolute BEAMING on everyone's faces. Yeah Carla, when Unordinary World started, I was thinking it must be that one because the album was almost over and we still hadn't heard it, and D had already said that Goodnight was second last so I knew it wasn't that. And then Shims also said she thought it might be Unordinary World, so I said that to you guys as I ran past to ask D whether it was Unordinary World (I was asking him the song titles so I could write them down). The chorus of one other epic sounding one has been in my mind all day!! We heard it in the blogs but I'm not sure which one it was, maybe it's Forgive/Forget?? EDIT: Oh Carla, I just remembered when I was bouncing in my seat during one of the songs and then I noticed you and Roxy looking at me and laughing and I was like . Lol.

Oh, no that one at 1:30 is Remember June. When it started playing at the LP, I remember recognising it because I really liked it when I first heard it in the blogs, and I wrote down the lyrics under the song title so I'd remember later on which song it was. I love the intro & the outro, i.e. Remember June and For All Of Time. Such funtarstic songs. Oh wow thanks Spud, am very glad to know that! I'm remembering the songs I hadn't heard before from the shows in all sorts of different order now so your memory for it all is great! I loved how the very first time we all heard Damien sing "Remember June" in that lyric that everyone at once all started cheering and clapping, wow what a great moment yes, some of us had heard different combos of the first few except the intro at the recent shows, and this was the very first full song that no one had heard at all yet - and it was MAGIC. gorgeous gorgeous song!! I loved how as we all heard different ones we recognised from the blogs we could start to put the pieces of it all together and we were singing along as well in parts, was just great. And then of course we had heard "Goodnight" as early as last year at the shows and we were all so thrilled when we heard it in its full big album version. Did we mention the standing ovations - after every song so much applause, we were loving it - and a standing ovation for Damien at the end, it was just the best!!

So do I, Carla! I'm starting to forget how it sounded need a refresh! I LOVE Unordinary World! Can't remember how it went - just remember that I love it! And how brilliant was it when we listened to the first track and heard the words 'Remember June' sung for the first time?! Yes there was a big cheer and a SQUEEE at that, it was a beautiful moment, I felt so excited, and I suspect everyone else felt the same ;D ;D

;D Thank goodness all you lovely people are helping me piece my memory back together again! It was amazing when D sang Remember June in the beginning and everyone reacted so spontaneously! I also vividly remember Spuddy jumping up to ask Damien the name of the song... I loved that! Watching everyone's reactions, the laughter, the cheering, the singing! and the crying, the quiet, intent listening. It was just incredible. ETA: I also vividly remember listening to STAY and Damien's voice in this song. I am going crazy with anticipation of hearing this song again... OMG It was amazing!

I get massive goosebumps every time I come into this thread and read it. It just brings back so many beautiful memories and it's just so overwhelming...in a very good way though! Was it Stay that every one of us went completely silent and you could have heard a pin drop? And Hype, I love Unordinary World too!!! I had forgotten about all of us cheering and going crazy when we heard the words REMEMBER JUNE!

It certainly was a special moment and looking around the room and seeing the look on everyone's faces was priceless, I think it was when I was listening to Stay that I first broke out in tears, I love Unordinary World too, and I cant stop singing Golden Line & To Get To You. All the songs on this album are fantastic

Even though the high note was in the chorus and you should probably expect it, it surprised me every time - I got chills, it absolutely floored me

I remember thinking when we heard "Unordinary World" that this one really felt like it maybe had an Eric (Aranda) feel as well? I thought there seemed to be really nice laid back almost Latin sensibility through it in parts behind Damien's vocals, did anyone else get that sense? LOVED it, and I loved how the chorus kicked in and we knew some of it from the blogs and could sing along.

Even though the high note was in the chorus and you should probably expect it, it surprised me every time - I got chills, it absolutely floored me STAY is the latest one haunting me (I know, it seems to be a new one each day! ) but OMG yes, wasn't it beautiful, I am pretty sure that is when is went so quiet you could hear a pin drop - and then...TEH BEAUTY of TEH VOICE!!! I love all these memories too and the way the moods kept changing around the room, we'd all be jubilant, then quiet, then singing along, banging the table even, lol, cheering, then in tears and quietly listening - it was such a massive emotional journey we all went on listening through the album. That was such a key moment when we all heard Damien singing those words "Remember June" - I think all our early nerves disappeared at that moment as we celebrated that - then it was the sense of us all being back to ourselves and appreciating Damien's music as a group as we are so familiar doing. I love that we were comfortable enough to be ourselves that night and let the reactions happen naturally, it made the whole experience so honest and raw and even more wonderful
