That all sounds great I LOVE the idea of the album being a story....it sounds like a bittersweet story perhaps? Did D give you any background to the story or the concept? And did he reveal any more about what the title means?

As I was listening, it reminded me of snatches of U2, Crowded House, Evermore and Coldplay. Although there was one song (not sure which) that reminded me somehow of 'Video Killed the Radio Star' It was great to hear drums in there - there drums were great, they were part of what gave the whole album that sort of momentum, and we usually miss out on drums at the concerts, so it was nice to hear My stand-out favourites (though they were all great) were the three I already heard - Golden Line, To Get to You, Sorry - as well as Stay, Goodnight, Unordinary World, and the outro song (can't remember what it's called). Of the last two I don't remember how they actually went - I just remember that they were great! ;D My impression was also that this album is more piano-based - at least one song opened with a piano solo. It was nice - it has a very different mood to stuff with just guitars

Simply Sensational!!!!! Loved the combination of the Big Sound: the powerful, dynamic, edgy rock with the melting, moving emotional songs and the raw, personal revelations. Wasn't particularly looking for influences, but definitely heard some Killers (yup...sat down and listened to them, realised I did know their music) certainly Coldplay and Trevor Horn/Bruce Wooley's The Buggles (Video Killed the Radio Star). Yup had 2 wines too heavily diluted with lemonade No one but no one can sound anything like Damien......his voice is so much stronger, pure, fine tuned and unique ..... But everyone has pretty much summed it up........if you buy any CD this year.......this has to be it!!!!!!!

The listening party sounds amazing and I'm so sad that I couldn't be there to enjoy it all. I just cannot wait for the single and the album to be released. I'm wondering if the story winding through the songs on the album is relevant to Damien's new book about the relationship between a father and his son. Can you imagine it - the book is made into a movie and the album is the soundtrack?

I love that so many have captured the reactions/responses hearing Remember June for the first time. It was an emotional roller coaster and honestly so much better than I had imagined (and I'd imagined pretty damned good!! ) My biggest impression was teh voice! Damien's voice is showcased in all it's facets, from mesmerisingly sweet tones to soaring rock notes, the edgy sound , there's brilliant light & shade in the songs, layers that need to be listened to again & again for full effect (it's going to be so hard to wait til the album is released for this luxury!!) I have at different times since hearing the album found myself singing one of the songs, quite often a different one each time..a testament to the "catchy" "memorable" quality to the album. As I heard each song I was taken to a different place. Short on time, but just want to say- I agree.. Brilliant.. Well Done Damien! and Special mention to Stu..you're a legend mate!

I also wanted to add....that there is so much honesty and maturity in this album. Even the songs that we were hearing for the first time, there would be one line that would absolutely grab you and pull at your heartstrings. The melodies are amazing and every song has it's own unique qualities and provoke so many different emotions. Our faces were kinda like this: ;D and then back to this: Damien, as you can tell, we are all totally blown away and incredibly proud of you. I can honestly say, I want to run to top of buildings and scream REMEMBER JUNE IS THE BEST ALBUM EVER from the rooftops!!!

It's FREAKIN AMAZING!!! D's songs are the best he's ever written, the structure is to die for.. short 2 minute intro, then the more catchy tracks which grab attention, then the hard freakin rockers, ala Radiohead etc, complete with a litlte electronica, then two ballads, one acoustic (where you could have heard a pin drop, we were so captivated) then it builds again until Goodnight which has pure John Mayer-esque guitar to close, then a short poetic lead-out... Honestly, the overall effect is emotional and f**king stunning! Sound production is amazing! Full, beautiful, bassy sound, the drums rumble , D's voice is the best it's ever been, the falsetto is perfect, but not over-done, the rock voice is freakin killer, the instrumentation is spot on....are you getting the feeling we aren't exaggerating here?? oh, and it has 12 tracks ...ya know, calendar?? Remember our wish list, Tick all the boxes baby! This thing is gunna be HUGE!!!!

Its a totally amazing album, Damien's voice had me wrapt up from start to finish and it all went way to fast, it was a fantastic night and I love the rockier upbeat sound that we heard. I really can't wait to hear it again and again

Ooooh really? Video Killed the Radio Star? (one of my all time fave 80's songs) ;D I wonder which song that was. I want to hear it ALL again Absolutely heard shades of Coldplay too (who I like alot, as well as Keane), I said it on the night but overall, I love that the entire album has a Damien Leith flavour to it Yes, it's very different but at the same time, it still showcases his amazing voice, in fact, more-so than WWL. The power is D's voice comes through so well and some of you have said, he does not get drowned out by the amazing drums and bass. Siiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiigh....is it possible to be in love with an album when you have only heard it once? lol hyp...don't worry, you're not insane...I actually said that to shims too !
