In answer to your questions Glawzie re Mandurah, no it wasn't a full house but it looked pretty full. Quite an older crowd who took a while to warm up. I agree with 'My Way'. I have never liked the song, even with Frank Sinatra singing it and it is a favourite with karaoke singers onboard ships. I've heard some pretty crap versions but in the last 3 months I have heard it and liked it. The first time was an entertainer on the cruise ship we were on and the 2nd time was Damien. He is so good singing it. The show tonight in PERTH, W .A. 19/11/2016. The setlist started out exactly as the show in Mandurah and I felt disappointed. I thought there would be a lot of changes, but..............good things come to those who wait . Never Forget Wicked Game Blower's Daughter Creep Unchanged Melody Damien started to talk about Jagger having just been born and he had been crying for a while and he wrote a song. I started to write down Not Just a for The a Weekend when blow me down he played - Beautiful Stronger Than Superman You've Got It Crying Rocky Road To Dublin Interval Damien came back on stage on his own Make You a Feel My Love (Bob Dylan) - a song he plays for his Mam every time he goes back to Ireland I'll Be Your Baby Tonight (short version) Unless You Say So (a request from the audience) Running Scared (a request from the audience) Eric and Jess came back onstage Raglan Road Galway Girl Wild World Night of My Life My Way (the best version EVER) Vincent (without any obvious errors) Hallelujah (you could hear a pin drop) FULL STANDING OVATION with cries for more. Encore Toss e Feathers Nessun Dorma The crowd loved the show. This one was a lot better than Mandurah (not that it was bad). Damien seemed to be over the jetlag and tiredness from his flight and was belting out the songs with gusto, holding long notes and using the falsetto. A brilliant concert all up. It was great seeing Tina and Deb again.

Awesome Braffy, thank you. Seems that Damien has his standard songs for every show, then has quite a few more that he varies. I doesn't matter to me, he could sing the phone book and I'd love it.

Yes, how wonderful to catch up with Tina and Deb Thank you so much for the report Braffy, good too that it was pretty full and nice they were all gradually warmed up haha, yes that would have been a surprise to hear Beautiful after him talking about Jagger. Gosh wonder who the audience was with those requests Damien must get tired with all the travelling, especially with the 3 shows. Getting close now to Norths and thank you again Braffy

What an amazing concert it was at Norths 26/11/2016
I don't want to write too much now because hopefully there will be a report from Palms at Crown before the full report from Norths.
I will say though that it was lovely on the actual 10th anniversary of Damien's Idol win to see so many present and non active members of DLO.
Lovely to see 2damienfans, Dawn, Princess, Trilly, Shims and b/f, Nuffy and hubby, Morgs, Eils and Mum plus young and growing up quickly Jarvis and little Kikki. I'm really pleased that I went.
Dawn has the setlist so she will write it up later.

Amazing show at Palms too Braffy. Sorry I haven't had a chance to get in before this. I made a big stuff up actually, we were just swanning around and decided to go up to Palms early, and when we did the show had started at 7.30, not 8.00!! Spewing!!!!! Only missed one song, I can't remember what it was as we heard it from outside but by the time we got to our seats and got over the shock he was introducing the second song. The crowd was enthusiastic, the place wasn't full but better than I thought. It's a large auditorium and beautiful venue and I think Damien loves performing there. Willy Hutton from Claymore was in the audience and Damien called him up on stage to do a number, see set list. The full band was at this show, Eric, Jess, Chris, Steve and Caeser, Damien of course, great sound all round.
First song, sorry can't remember. Night of my Life Wicked Game Blowers Daughter Unchained Melody Not just for the weekend 22 Steps Wide World In Dreams (mind blowingly beautiful, sung slower than usual, it was dreamy) Leah Interval
Damien came out on his own ... Crying Called up Willy from Claymore and the band came out They Did Song for Ireland/Scottish Version as well as Irish, harmonies were great, they must have practiced!! Brown Eyed Girl Galway Girl Faith in Me Penny Arcade Everybody's Talking Hallelujah Toss the Feathers Nessun Dorma
Standing ovation AGAIN!!
Saw a friend in the foyer after the show, his lady friend is a Damien Fan. Unfortunately she was ill and couldn't make it but he had brought along four more people as he had been so impressed when he saw Damien's ROY show. He said they loved it! The reason the show was early we found out was there was another function in the auditorium after Damien, they couldn't get in until Damien had done all his meet and greet and he did a great job, didn't appear stressed at all and managed to give decent time to all in the queue with signings and photos. My daughter Rowena, Jim and 13yo Lauren were there, and Lauren loved it. I introduced her to Damien and he signed the Parting Glass DVD which they purchased, Eric gave it to her at a reduced price when I introduced her so that was lovely of him.
I took Maria, cousin Carol and a friend who used Maria's friend's ticket, we met up with Di, Ali, Lillian and Di's sister Pam for dinner, the others said they would be later and couldn't make dinner in time. Sue, Krissy, Trilly and Lorraine Syme were there, didn't get a chance to meet Lorraine as unfortunately.
A great show, great venue and fantastic night out!

Ah good on you Glawz, that was a great report and terrific so many were there and that it was almost full. We were also fortunate to have the full band apart from Chris (Eric, Steve, Cesar, Jess and Damien) at Norths. In the audience we had 2 dancers (Kikki and friend ) The place looked fairly full and a couple of tables we thought were vacant had actually sold. We had a gent at our table who had never seen Damien before and had bought his seat on the spur of the moment. He really enjoyed it too and was clapping along with us all. Damien wore a black shirt with black and white check tie, black trousers and brown shoes. The set list was: * Never Forget (Damien waved to Kikki and her friend ) * Night of My Life * Wicked Game * Blower's Daughter * Unchained Melody and then after talking about Jagger's birth we were surprised when he sang * Beautiful which was of course for his gorgeous wife Eileen * Wild World * 22 Steps * Running Scared and * Leah Then we had an interval and Damien came back out on his own to sing the wedding song * Creep and by request from our table * Come to Me then as a request he did a number with Eric * Tears in Heaven, then a request from Kikki * Danny Boy, then the band came out and they did * Twist and Shout I then gave Damien his gift ( To the handsome, talented Damien Leith Here's looking at You) a puppet of course * Message to My Girl * Galway Girl * Crying * Penny Arcade * Faith in Me * Hallelujah then the encore * Toss the Feathers and after much pleading, cajoling from a couple of very noisy tables down the front * Golden Line and finally * Nessun Dorma. There was an enthusiastic standing ovation and much applause. We had been fortunate enough to catch up with Eils, her mum and Jarvis in the Bistro. We also saw them again at the end with Kikki (they are very patient waiting for Damien and his fans) Also chatted with Jess at the end and gave Eric a hug. There was hearty clapping and singing along at various stages and the encouraging Sing Along (a shame not a lot knew the words to Penny Arcade. As Braffy said, it was great that we caught up with so many from the old DLO group and were even able to have sweets and coffe/tea after the show. I will endeavour to put up some photos after I do a bit of an edit. Unfortunately I was at the back end of the table and couldn't really get shots during the show. Thank you to all the family for your patience and to Damien who is so generous with his time to his fans

Great report Glawz, lots of detail and sounds like an amazing time. How exciting having Willy get up and sing with Damien. That's brilliant that there were so many DLO members plus family and friends along. Well done to the friend for taking 4 Damien virgins along and for you for taking Lauren. I have no doubts that she loved it. Thank you Dawn. When Damien asked for requests young Kikki was calling out for Danny Boy and Jarvis was calling out for Twist and Shout. Damien apologised to the audience and said his kids requests come first but that he would do Twist and Shout when the band were back on stage. Boy oh boy did Damien and the band rock it out. It's the first time I have heard Damien sing it. I did notice early on that Damien saw 2damienfans sitting at the front of their table and he gave them a lovely huge smile of acknowledgement. I hope they saw it. Message to My Girl, Come To Me, Tears From Heaven, Danny Boy, Twist and Shout and 'something from Remember June' - Golden Line were all requests from the audience. Damien's version of Tears from heaven was so nice. Dawn mentioned the fellow on our table only bought his ticket within 24 hours before the show. He hadn't seen Damien before but he knew if him and thought he would check it out. He dud have a really good time. I don t know if he bought any CD's or met Damien after the show but it was interesting to watch his reactions to certain songs. Another very happy Damien virgin. I also knew another couple there. They are parents of a boy that was in the same school year as one of my sons. The husband came over to me at interval to ask me what the last song had been because he wanted to get it. It was Leah and I told him it was available on iTunes as part of the Now and Then CD and then he just said, I think I will buy the whole CD. I did see him over at the Sales table. I thought the audience reacted really well with singing along to Penny Arcade Dawn. I don't like singing loudly because I can't sing at all, but sometimes the concert gets the better of me. I always apologise to the person sitting next to me when that happens, Yes, it was nice having a mini Hut at the end but we weren't all there for it. It's a shame we didn't get a big group photo. What a great night though. My battery is dying and I won't have time to tell you about the lead up to the show, I will write it in another post tomorrow.

Great reports Dawn and Braffy, very similar set list and lucky you got Golden Line. I'm sure Trilly was pleased to hear Come to Me, she had requested it at Palms but he didn't do it. Thanks for all the news, so good for you to catch up with tarts past and present, and also Eils and the kids. Was Jagger there?

Finally I am back to add more to my story. It is a tradition with DLO that we get lost or something else happens This is our one for this concert. Dawn was going to be staying with me. We had arranged what train she would be on and I would go to the station to meet her and bring her back here. All went well, I left on time shutting the front door after me, reached to lock the screen door only to realise that I had left my keys inside the house. The front door was locked. I couldn't get in the garage because it was locked and I had no car keys anyway even if I could get to the car. Eek! I rang Dawn to let her know and then madly rang my sister who lives 8 kms away. Thankfully she dropped everything and then did the 'Dawn pickup'. Thank goodness they have met a few times before. I just had to pace it out the front on a hot day until they arrived back here. I was extremely grateful that my sister was available and has a key to the place. Hubby was up the Central Coast and my son was who knows where, but no where near home. I was getting my ticket ready when Dawn asked if I had her ticket. I said no, only mine. Her heart sank because we both usually buy for both of us, whoever is doing the buying. This time around though, mine was via Internet and Dawn had rung through to Norths for her ticket. We then realised her ticket was waiting for collection at the Club. Phew! A couple of cups of tea later, we got ready and then left and had a fantastic time at the concert. We always have lots of 'entertainment' going to concerts, whether by goings on that we have created or the Navbitch sending us down wrong roads or into the driveway of an Aged Care home haha. Always lots of adventures and I wouldn't trade it. Thank you Damien for all our fun.

That's a great story Braffy, you have lifted my spirits way up high, not only because it was tragically funny but also it has shown me I'm not the only one to do silly things!! You have made me realise that I have to plant a spare key somewhere as have often wondered what I would do if I were to either lose my house keys or lock myself out! Rowena has keys to my place and only lives a suburb away, but I never know where she is going to be, would be my luck she'd be off somewhere unreachable. At least it all worked out fine, ticket situation included., and I agree it's all part of the fun, especially when the stress subsides!! LOL JUST REMEMBER.....YOU NEED TO HAVE RAIN TO GET THE RAINBOW
